Rail: 3 metres Entire Course.
Track Rating: Slow firstname.lastname@example.org.
Factors: Back to a "drier'' track for many runners today could see marked improvements. Showers predicted, track will deteriorate quickly if they hit Eagle Farm.
Topweight Hoss Amour looks the one to beat here, she has not put a hoof wrong in her Brisbane campaign. Tinszelda should race right on the bunny, 1200m finds them out here so she could be walking late, big risk for mine. Sookie and Write Cheek were strong winners last start, Sookie in good time. Discreet no slouch.
Impossible to fault the form of Solzhenitsyn, meeting similar opposition to what he beat last start. St Germaine should be close to peak, definite danger.
Mental is classes above these. Kiwi Shanghai Bund is another John Sargent runner that is peaking and should fill the quinella. Double Impact the best of the locals.
Roughie (16) Playtime.
Race 4: Tricky race. Facile Tigre and Adebisi down in class after failing at elite level, no surprise to see one or both improve. Excellentes racing very well, wide gate slight concern with plenty of speed drawn inside. Norocos has a good record here.
Sizzling and Academus have battled out the finish their last two starts, expect them to do it again here. Boban, who is still learning the caper and Dances On Stars also in the mix. Kiwi Choice Bro might appreciate the mile.
There was a lot to like about Quintessential's Oaks win. Provided the filly backs-up after she should be involved in the finish. Month between runs for SA Derby winner Zabeelionaire, but impossible to leave out. Brambles done enormous in Brisbane campaign and will look the winner at some stage. Kiwi Red Shift sure to be improved. Oaks flop Poste Restante ridden upside down last start, can improve.
Roughie (12) Red Shift.
Huge ask for Sea Siren to make it three in a row. She's quality, but back to handicap conditions, big field she will get no favours. Speed will be hot early and I think the winner will come from midfield or further back. Spirit Of Boom has had a nice build-up and will be hitting the line. Wealth Princess, also goes into the race on a perfect prep' is well weighted, forget her last start failure on a bog.
Roughie: (15) Sistine Angel.
The better alley swings it Mawingo's way here over Lights Of Heaven with the top two chances in betting. Both scored super wins last start and look the main chances. The Verminator will run it out strongly and there won't be a fitter horse in the race than Reuben Percival.
