Factors: No real issues today. I believe GlenColless is great value at $11 in the Jockey challenge and Tegan Harrison ($8) hardest to beat.
Impossible to go past topweight Missy Longstocking. Won impressively on debut in Toowoomba. Moroccan Rose won GC trial in good fashion and looks the danger.
Numbers: 1, 6.
Marked is close to peak now and ready to run a race. Attica wears blinkers for the first time, honest and nicely placed. Topping had a decent prep’ but should race handy and be thereabouts at the finish.
Numbers: 4, 5, 3.
Shocking Blue up in class here, but did it tough last start and was not entitled to run on as well as she did, in good form race. Should be closer from good gate. On Face Value returned to winning form latest, has to be considered again in ordinary Class 6. Cyclone Al is always thereabouts, but doesn’t win many.
Numbers: 9ew, 2, 3, 4.
Looks a race in two.
Morning Captain scored well latest, when hot tempo suited. On 7-day back-up for the first time, so little query there. Fillydelphia had the gun run last start and was very strong on the line, weight rise a slight concern, but she is classy.
Numbers: 1, 3.
Golden Cash likely improver here. Had no luck when wide throughout should improve with the run under his belt. Gunner Knox did all the chasing last start and was game in defeat. Sons Of God consistent in easier races. Cracco lightly raced and good winner latest, this is tougher. Ticket To Dream consistent, in the mix.
Numbers: 3, 2, 6, 5.
Raise Up was held up for few strides last start, might be better from this draw, where can get some racing room. Purfectress and Our Hussey had wide runs last start and both should be in the finish. Our Hussey did it toughest and it was a super run. Three deep without cover, took the field up to give chase and despite working hard was able to find something and fought on hard to the line.
Numbers: 3x, 13, 4, 11.
Audacious Spirit resumes after nice trial Gold Coast, honest and good first-up record. I like seeing horses race with a drop in weight and Conroy’s Gap fits the bill. He is down 7kg on good effort at Scone and should box seat from three alley. Jugahlation will give a sight. Balkuin also on speed runner with ability.
Numbers: 15, 10, 3, 9.
Tough way to finish the quadi, lots of ifs and buts with many horses resuming.
Sunset Affair was not knocked about when second in GC trial. Saluter had solid two-year-old form and will be hitting the line. Rocky King may lack the class of some of these, but is speedy and could get away with this. Big decision won first-up
and appears to have improved since a break.
Numbers: 1, 5, 2, 9.
