Eagle Farm Look - March 31
Weather: Overcast Track Rating: Dead 5, 8.00am. Factors: Track should improve as day progresses.
Race 1: Ordinary race saved from extinction by late noms. Interview in-form looks the one to beat. Silent Movie gets his chance on drier track.
Race 2: Wolfsburg resumes, trialled well from in-form stable. Burleigh Heads looks value, first-up three trials so should be fit enough. Holey Gadoley aided by claim and Khaantantes sure to be improved after beaten favourite last start. Ring Me Ruby also in the mix.
Numbers: 12,3,6,1. Roughie: Ring Me Ruby.
Race 3: Wins are well spaced for Diago but looks good hope on top of ground. Pet distance for Billum, in well with claim
for Chad Schofield. Dodging Eddie failed in heavy last start, gets gun run here and looks the one to beat.
Numbers: 9x,4,7,3. Roughie: Loves A Challenge.
Race 4: Tough race with average horses under the odds. The Reveller is well placed with Patrick Keane’s claim and should be close to his peak. Paris Blu has not won this track in 14 starts. Prefer to look for value with Eastline and Bianca Jewel fitting the bill for each way punters.
Race 5: Topweight Win A Million failed to handle the heavy last start and can redeem herself here but it will not be easy. Quadi first leg is a race of many chances, with Sam’s Town, from the powerful Rob Heathcote stable stripping fitter and in the mix. Last start winners Start Again and Lucky Songs are also strong hopes.
Numbers: 1,8,9,16. Roughie: Machination.
Race 6: Morning Captain and Trump resume here. Both have ability but Trump has the best first-up record. Favourite Hidden Jewel chases hat-trick in her toughest test to date.
Race 7: Southern visitors Girls Go Racing and My Cookie Monster dominate betting and should fight it out. Slight leaning to Cookie from the nice alley.
Race 8: Vaarwel heavily backed to win first-up. Meets very ordinary lot here and should win again. Lottery for the trifecta but
Headhunter will be prominent and in well with claim.
Numbers: 12,9,1,3. Roughie: All That.
