Rail: Out 2.5m Entire Circuit.
Track Condition: Good 3.
Factors: Brisbane’s first “good” track rating for some time could make for form reversals.
Show A Noee easily best runner on form, but up in weight and they find it hard to win with 59kgs. In saying that hard it is hard to find one to beat him. Blinkers come off Fantisha, inconsistent. Offense can improve on top of the ground. You’re Mine no weight on-pacer. Congo’s last run was better than it looks on paper,er now
Numbers: 4, 1, 7, 5.
Looks a race in two. Lucky Luna has great record this track and trip, three-kilo claim also a bonus. Topping will either lead or take a sit, consistency gives him the edge.
Numbers: 3, 1, 4, 6.
Moneysaver was third to Buffering in May, worked home well last start so can improve here. Magic Tartan was not far away last started, should be suited on top of the ground. Index Page is another that could show marked improvement on a good surface. Hidden Kisses racing in peak form, but 57.5kgs and $1.70 pre-post is not enticing. Welcome Parade huge class rise after two midweek wins.
Numbers: 2ew, 3, 5, 1.
Usual suspects. Saint Encosta has a chance if runs up to Grafton Cup form, but unreliable. Bell Academy and Racing Heart look key hopes again. Court Connection should be nearing peak and can improve with claim.
Numbers: 4, 6, 2, 3.
Would have loved to see Venture On with a claim, but looks a nice horse and still the one to beat. Collector ran on well last start and looks suited this trip. Iking is another that will be running on and expected solid tempo should suit.
Numbers: 1, 4, 10, 11.
Main chances all drawn well. Liesele won in good fashion last start, goes up 4kgs, but has the right alley to get the gun run. Too Many Reds has great first-up record and Gollan stable in form. Trail Boss will race handy and should give a sight. Tea Tattle back to right distance and big odds for exotics. The Reveller resumes, good record when fresh. Devil’s Melody can improve on top of the ground.
Numbers: 3, 1, 12,11.
Skating On Ice should get a nice run just off the speed and the one to beat with featherweight. Could not have The Sixties last start and was wrong. Up in weight, but well drawn just hard for me to see winning two in a row. Power O’Raylee from the Moody stable, had an easy trial, respect, but will probably need this run. Grey Assignment will be flashing home.
Numbers: 6x, 3, 1, 8.
Startsmeup has has class edge, races well here. Everything points to him beating these, but wide barrier is a concern and not sure he warrants being a $1.60 chance. Danagaze resumes and likes it longer, does race well fresh. Somnambulist will go forward and if track favouring on pacers could be hard to run down. Starlin fitter for two runs back from a spell, likely improver.
Numbers: 10ew, 11, 2, 1.
